<br />This is to inform you of the current statue of the following gravel pit
<br />operations in Bent County.
<br />#1. M-83-177, Adams Pit, temporarily inactive, permit issued November 2, 1983,
<br />future plans to be used on roads in area of pit every 3-5 years.
<br />#2. M-83-178, Bent County Pit, active, permit issued November 2, 1983, future
<br />plans most active pit used in vest end of county.
<br />#3. M-83-179, Etchart Pit, temporarily inactive, permit issued November 2, 1983,
<br />future pleas are to use very little every 2 years for southern end of county
<br />for building roads.
<br />#4. M-83-180, US Army Corps Pit, temporarily inactive, permit issued November 2,
<br />1983, future plane to be used is north part of county very little in the
<br />future, every 4-5 years.
<br />#5. M-83-181, Smartt Pit, active, permit issued November 2, 1983, future plans are
<br />to use on a regular basis as this is a drainage area, will be very active in
<br />the future.
<br />#6. M-83-182, Dean Pit, reclaimed, permit issued November 2, 1983, this pit vas
<br />reclaimed November 7, 1989, by your division's Greg Squire.
<br />#7. M-83-183, Clodfelter pit, temporarik~QiQc~ve, permit issued November 2, 1983,
<br />future plans are to use this pit in kk[[~1,,~~~~ thwest area roads very little, iP
<br />any, in the next 3-S years.
<br />#8. M-83-184, Hoffman Pit, active, permit issued January 26, 1984, future plena
<br />are very active for the east part of the county and regular use for the next
<br />several years.
