Johnston <br />Reclamation Specialist <br />Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Division <br />1313 Sherman St., Room 215 <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />Re: 1990 and 1991 Annual Reclamation Reports <br />Dear Christine: <br />~~ <br /> <br />dAR 2 6 1991 <br />Mined Land <br />Although Mountain Coal Company (MCC) believes that Rule 2.04.13 is not <br />applicable to underground mines, as it refers to the number of acres disturbed, <br />backfilled, and topsoiled, etc. during the year, the following is a summary of <br />the interim (not final) reclamation which occurred at the West Elk Mine during <br />1990 and 1991. <br />2.04.13(1) <br />(a) Mountain Coal Company <br />West Elk Mine <br />P.O. Box 591 <br />Somerset, CO 81434 <br />(b) 1990 - Approximately 0.25 acres, drill hole SOM 128 H <br />1991 - Approximately 4.0 acres (part previously <br />disturbed), new access/haul road. <br />- Approximately 4.0 acres (part previously <br />disturbed), stack tubes coal storage area. <br />- The water treatment plant, conveyor bent <br />protection wall, office/bathhouse and fuel storage <br />area contributed zero additional acres of <br />disturbance as these facilities are located on <br />previously disturbed areas of the West Elk Mine. <br /> <br />AMCOC30+ <br />
