An ortho
photograph is included with this submittal and shows the
major disturbances to scale (1 inch = 100 feet) in place at
this site to date. This is identical to that included with
the 1989 amendment, since no disturbance has occurred beyond
that shown.
Approximately 45,000 tons (not 20,000 as reported in the
summary of 11/16/89) of material was removed from existing
benches within Mine Phase M-1. Excavation will continue
within Mine Phase M-1 through 1990.
Site preparation and removal of deposit stockpile material on
the proposed visual berm locations has delayed construction
of a planned visual berm, as identified in the existing
permit application. Disposition of this berm will be updated
in the next annual report. All other planned reclamation is
pending completion of Mine Phases M-1 and M-2, and indicated
in the 1989 amendment.
Soil sampling occurred over a portion of the resoiled area in
1988. Soil sample results are included here-in. The
recommended fertilizer rates will be utilized immediately
following seedling emergence. Fertilization will be delayed
until that time to minimize the encouragement of annuals over
the disturbed area. ~~ f
.J'
P.O.
