OF MINERALS <br />& GEOLOGY <br />The San Luis town well was sampled on July 15, 1998. The water samples were analyzed <br />for cyanide, total metals, and fluoride as outlined in paragraph 26 of Battle Mountain's <br />Water Decree, Case No. 89CW32. The analysis report is attached. The concentrations of <br />all constituents are below the Colorado Drinking Water Standards. <br />The three pairs of lysimeters located west of the tailings disposal area have been <br />checked bi-weekly April 1992 thru March 1996 and quarterly since March 1996. All <br />lysimeters continue to be dry. <br />The next sampling event will take place in January 1999.
