~ iii iiiiiiiiiiiu iii
999
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
Davltl H. Getches, Executive Director
•
MINED LAND RECLAMATION DIVISION
DAVIDC. SHELTON, Director
Richertl D. Lamm
Governor
M E M O R A N D U M
4 March 1984
T0:
FROM
RE:
Jim Herron \
Jim Pendleton
Powderhorn Coa mpa y's Subsidence Monitoring Report,
Sub ed February, 1984
The report presents the survey data from a portion of the subsidence
monitoring monument network installed above the workings of the Roadside
Mine. Several monument cross-section lines were not surveyed, due to heavy
snow accumulations. The Company anticipates submittal of these additional
survey results during April of this year. Please forward the additional data
for my perusal upon its arrival.
The survey results submitted are acceptable. However, in the future please
instruct Powderhorn to superimpose subsequent survey profile lines upon the
previous survey profile lines. This will facilitate detection of progressive
ssubsidence adjustments. Admittedly, this will complicate the plots due to
multiple profile lines inclusion on a single cross-section. Careful choice of
point symbols should allow differentiation of the various generations of
survey results.
cc: Brian Munson
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
