A letter mailed to me on February 1,2002, which I received on
March 3, 2002 was the first I knew about the situation with the Gravel Pit. It
was interesting to note that the operator of the pit received his notice just 2
days prior to me on the situation. I mailed cashiers check to the Division of
Minerals and Geology due to a bounced check (we had a number of them
due to a cow check we had bounce) that I was notified of. I made a special
trip into town to get a Cashiers Check, go the Post office in Gunnison to
make sure this was taken care o£ I did this in and expedient manor because
I only had a few days to make the deadline to not be assessed more money.
I had of course thought this was all there was to it since I received no further
contact from your office. So things were all right. Not so. We now have a
bill of $587.00 and with a New Year upon us and another assessment to take
care of. I would like to know why it has taken a year to contact me. My
original check made it to the office in plenty of time. It was all the faltyroll
that has gotten out of hand. I contacted the Bank to check on the Cashiers
Check and it was never cashed. So at this point here is a check for $587.00
to take us up to date. If you decide to not assess the extra moneys apply it to
this years bill.
Thank You for
Your Attention.
~~ ~ ~
~ ~
