• <br /> NELSON PIT <br /> Annual Monitoring Report <br /> February, 1985 <br /> This is the seventh annual monitoring report for the Nelson Pit operated by <br /> Flatiron Paving Cody, P.O. Box 229, Boulder, Colorado 80306. It covers <br /> the period of February 7, 1984 to February 6, 1985. Please refer to your <br /> file number 74-70. <br /> The following questions and answers provide information on the mining and <br /> reclamation process at Nelson Pit. The attached map shows the areas affected. <br /> 1. What are the locations and number of acres affected during the past year? <br /> Approximately 5 acres along the western edge of the pit were excavated <br /> last year, and about 13 acres in the southern pit area were stripped <br /> last year. <br /> 2. What are the locations and number of acres reclaimed this year? <br /> No reclamation took place this past year. <br /> 3. What are the locations and number of acres in various stages of <br /> reclamation? <br /> The berm along the southeastern edge of the pit is still to be seeded <br /> and fertilized. <br /> 4. What species of vegetation have been planted? What are the locations <br /> and approximate dates of planting? <br /> No vegetation was planted last year. <br /> 5. What are the types, quantities and locations of fertilizers used? <br /> None. <br /> 6. what is the company's appraisal of reclamation efforts? <br /> Reclamation is proceeding satisfactorily. <br /> 7. What are the locations and numbers of acres to be affected during the <br /> next reporting year? <br /> Approximately 3 acres in the southwestern area of the pit are to be <br /> stripped and excavated. Also, if economic conditions permit, the 13 <br /> acres stripped in 1984 will be excavated in 1985. <br />
