This report covers the time period between April 2000 and April 2001. <br /> Reportable Conditions: <br /> Amendment No. 8 site preparation and development activities have been initiated in the <br /> Main Cresson and East Cresson Mine areas, Phase IV of the Valley Leach Facility <br /> ("VLF"), the new crusher area, the Elkton Hill substation, the external storage pond, bulk <br /> emulsion facility and the mine truck shop. These activities will continue throughout the <br /> year. <br /> CC&V reclaimed approximately 17 acres of land during the reporting period. <br /> Approximately five acres of this reclamation was conducted on newly created topsoil <br /> stockpiles. The remaining acreage consisted of miscellaneous reclamation along new <br /> roads, construction sites and the Phase II toe berm raise. <br /> Seed was collected from Quaking aspen (Populus tremuloides) and Bristlecone pine <br /> (Pinus aristata) species in the area during the fall of 1999. These seeds were grown in a <br /> contract greenhouse for planting in 2000 and future years. 2,500 Bristlecone and 500 <br /> Aspen seedlings were planted on the 1994 reclamation area in the fall of 2000. <br /> Approximately 2500 Bristlecone seedlings remain in the greenhouse for planting in the <br /> fall of 2001. <br /> Per the requirements of C.R.S. 34-32-116(3), and C.R.S. 34-32.5-116(3)(a): <br /> Reclamation accomplished to date:Approximately 121 acres <br />
