- _.
~.
~ INSPECTION REPORT `
HAYDEN GULCH MINE
H-G COAL.COh1PANY - OWNER
PAMPA MINING COMPANY-CONTRACT OPERATOR
DECEMBER 23, 1981
The permanent waste dump located in the east half of Section 30, T5N, 8884!
was inspected December 23, 1981. The following observations were made as
required in the Surface Coal Mining and Reclamation Operations - Permanent
P,egulatory Frogram. The area boundaries on the attached map ar•e only rough
approximations.
1. Area A-1 is reclaimed with vegetative growth evident. All slopes
in area A-1 are 3:1 or flatter and appear stable. Area A-2 is
reclaimed with vegetative growth evident. This area contains
slopes as steep as 2.3:1 but is a cut slope, not a fill embank-
ment, and it appears stable. t
2. Area B has been recontoured, topsoiled, seeded, and mulched.
No vegetative growth is evident as yet. All slopes in area B
are 3:1 or flatter and appear stable.
3. Area C is the active waste dump area. There are slopes in area
C which are steeper than 3:1, but these are temporary in nature
and will be dozed to 3:1 or flatter when the dump crest in_area
C reaches its design elevation.
4. Drainage from the dump area is controlled by interceptor channels
and sediment control structures so as not to degrade surface or
groundwater.
~ i ~ia~I~
