December 6, 1991
To: G.C. Dodson
From: J.C. Lenz
Subject: November Monthly Operating Report
1. Mill Operations
1.1 Crushing
Approximately 143,985 wet tons of ore were crushed
in November. Operating availability of the primary
crusher was 74.9$. No major operating problems were
experienced this month. The most common reasons for
downtime during the month were misalignment of CV-
O1, slab rock blockages of the feeder and the
crusher, and frozen fines packing the feeder.
New swing jaw liners were installed in November. The
original set crushed approximately 840,000 tons.
1.2 Grindin4
148,451 dry tons of ore were ground during November.
Operating availability of the plant increased to 94.8$
this month. Average plant throughput for the month
increased to 217 tons per hour. Total power consumption
increased to 30.3 kwh/ton.
Unscheduled mill downtime resulted from several plugged
SAG mill feed chutes, and replacement of a broken SAG
mill grate during the month. Scheduled mill maintenance
requiring interrupted operations consisted of the
following:
1. Rebuilding the ball mill feed line and box.
