April 13, 1991 <br />• Page 11 <br />BEDROCK WELLS <br />Presently 13 bedrock wells are monitored. Eight shallow wells (B-1 <br />through B-8) are located on the bench area at the Orchard Valley <br />mine portal and are completed in the Mancos Shale and Mesaverde <br />Coal Member. Four deep bedrock wells are completed in the <br />Mesaverde Coal Member and the one deep bedrock well is completed in <br />the Mesaverde Sandstone. <br />Only three of the shallow wells consistently have water in them. <br />Plots of the water level data for these three wells are presented <br />on Figures 47 through 49. The water quality data for well B-7 <br />• (Node 22) is summarized on Tables 102 and 103 and the conductivity <br />data is plotted on Figure 49. Water level data for four of the <br />deep bedrock wells is presented on Figures 50 through 53. No <br />impacts related to mining were observed. <br /> <br />
