Application rates varied from none to 400#/acre (Exhibit 2001- <br />9). hirst cut yields varied from 863 Ib/acre to 5200 Ib/acre (Exhibit 2001-11), depending on the <br />amount of fertilizer used and whether or not the land was irrigated. <br />Weed and Pest Control Activities <br />l~~eed control was carried out in the summer and fall months of 2001. Target species included Russian <br />Kaapwced, Canada Thistle, Sim Flower, White Top, Purple Loosestrife and Field Bindweed. Spot <br />spraying was done at NH2, see Exhibit 2001-5. The treated sites were small and random and are too <br />small to accurately plot on a map, although the general area is depicted. <br />Pest Control measures implemented in 2001 consisted of spot baiting for prairie dogs with RozoLT~~ <br />Acres in Lom~= Cerm Minine or Reclamation Facilities <br />As shown in Exhibit 2001-12, currently 36.32 acres are held in long-term mining or reclamation <br />facilitics- <br />Acres in Active Minine Areas <br />As Exhibit 2001-[Z indicates, the 2001 active mine area disturbance was $998 acres. <br />Acres Seeded/Planted for the Last 10 Years or more <br />The total number of acres seeded or planted and not released from bond within the NH] and NH2 <br />permit areas is 440.56.
