FLAG SAND AND GRAVE~O. • PADE 2 NOVEMBER 24, 1997 (2) No reclamation was required this year. However we completed sloping and recoiling on 2.78 acres ± of lake shore along the northwest side of the lake (brown). We placed approximately 10 inches of topsoil on this area using approximately 3,740 YD' of topsoil from the pile (pink). The reconstructed wetland area, 7.27 acres ±, (lite green) on the southwest side of the prop- erty is doing fine. No reclamation will be required in the undisturbed wetland area (dark green). All the slopes from existing ground level to the bottom of the mined area have been reduces to 3h to lv and will be worked that way from now on. Very little reclamation is needed in the lake area as we are mining and shaping slopes as we go. (3) Mining will continue in Stage 1 where it is now taking place and on the area that has been previously stripped. we expect to mine on the southern side of the lake and work the deeper deposit of gravel within the Riparian area. Another 5.00 acres ± may be mind this year. More lake surface will be created as we reduce the number of acres needing revegetation. We will continue to monitor the constructed wetland area and do reme- dial work if it is necessary. (4) No reclamation is required next year but we will continue to do reclamation on the slopes as mining progresses. As more slop- ing is completed along the north side of Stage 1 that area will be topsoiled also.
