substituted for an equal amount of Small Burnett and Saskatoon Serviceberry
was substituted with an equal amount of Douglas Rabbitbrush, as detailed in
Table 2.05-8. The Division did, however, note one math error with the seed
mix, Table 2.05-7. The error is with the forb species. Colowyo lists the total
PLS/acre as 3.05 pounds. The actual number is 3.06 pounds. The total PLS
for the entire mix then increases from 13.64 pounds to 13.65 pounds.
The Division has no questions regarding Section 5 of the Annual Reclamation
Report - 2005 Annual Report Map. The map, Exhibit 7, is very well done and
contains all of the information and detail needed.
4. The Division has no questions regarding Section 6 of the Annual Reclamation
Report - 2005 Annual Report Cross Sections. The cross sections, Exhibit 8,
are very well done and contain all of the information and detail needed.
Section 7 of the 2005 Annual Reclamation Report contains information
regarding the quarterly inspections for the Streeter, West Pit and Section 16
excess spoil fill piles. The Division received all of these inspection reports as
required. This section of the ARR also included survey monument reports
and survey monument report graphs.
The Streeter fill information is located in Exhibits 7A-C. Construction on this
excess spoil fill has been completed and the Division approved a Phase II
Bond Release for the Streeter fill on 25 September 1987. The fill was
inspected quarterly on 23 February 2005, 25 May 2005, 21 September 2005
and 2 November 2005, as required. The Streeter fill has been monitored from
20 May 1980 to the present. A review of the survey monument reports and
graphs shows that the Streeter fill has settled from 1.779 feet to 5.480 feet.
This settling has been steady and consistent over the survey period and
appears to be leveling off. The Division inspects the Streeter fill as an
ongoing part of its monthly inspection requirement and at present the Division
has no concerns regazding the Streeter fill.
The West Pit fill information is located in Exhibits 7D-F. The lower portions
of the West Pit fill have been reclaimed. One reclamation block, WP002, has
undergone a Phase II Bond Release approved by the Division on 15 August
2001. The upper portion of the fill was used as a temporary stockpile and the
upper 75 feet of the pile (known as Hink's Peak) will be removed and used for
reclamation in the West Pit. The fill was inspected quarterly on 10 March
2005, 28 May 2005, 21 September 2005 and 2 November 2005, as required.
The West Pit fill has been monitored from 30 August 1998 to the present. A
review of the survey monument reports and graphs shows that the West Pit fill
has settled from 0.94 feet to 5.44 feet. This settling has been steady and
consistent over the survey period and appeazs to be leveling off. The Division
inspects the West Pit fill as an ongoing part of its monthly inspection
