r
Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
RECEIVED
MAR 0 7 2003
Division of Minerals and Geology
RE: Annual Permit Report
M-1981-207
Blue Pit
Mining continued this past year to within 50' of the east end boundary and mined to a 1:1
slope to elevation 6270.
Stripping has occurred on the overburden pile on the north side of the pit. This material
was hauled to the south east corner of the pit exposing new gravel out to station
3 + 00 so as to continue mining at elevation 6260 north approximately 200 feet.
Along with this material movement, the pit has taken in approximately 137,000 cubic
yards of inert material which has been dumped into the southeast corner headwall and
pushed north along the easterly wall which established a bench approximately 140 feet
wide. This material will be pushed and used in the 2.5 to 1 slope leaving a 20' road on
top of slope.
We have moved topsoil from the north side stockpile to this bench for later placement on
the 2.5 to 1 easterly slope. This will enable us to push overburden south from the
overburden stockpile area to 3 + 50 parallel along the easterly boundary and finish the
east end slope. This process should take place this coming year.
No new reclamation has been done.
Financial Warranty is in place. See attached.
All corners are marked with appropriate interval signs still in place.
Respectfully submitted,
William M. Roberts
President
March 4, 2003
P.O.
