' OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
YS-1100 ENGINEERING SEIShfOGRAPH
,I. General Description:
The Model VS-1100 Seismograph consists of athree-component
seismometer and a signal conditioning-recording unit.
' The seismometer contains three suspended coil transducer
unite, which are accurately aligned along orthogonal axes
in a cast aluminum box.
The seismometer is connected to the recording and control
unit through a shielded cable, Extensions up to 500 feet
for this cable are available.
The Seismograph functions ere a velocity meter with peak
sensitivity of 20 in/in/sec. flat between 2 and 200 Hz.
The recording medium maq be Dither standard or direct
' write photographic paper. The system is powered intern-
ally by a 12 volt rechargeable battery.
