These reports constitute the ninth, tenth and eleventh such documents generated to date. Reports <br />for the third and fourth quarters of 1996 had been retained in the mine site files however, I do no[ believe copies <br />have yet been forwarded to the Division. <br />The report for the third quarter of 1996 addresses on-site inspections occurring on July 10 and August I S and 21. <br />The report for [he fourth quarter of 1996 addresses an on-site inspection occurring November 25. The report for <br />the first quarter of 1997 addresses on-site inspections occurring on January 24 and February 10. Four (4) <br />compaction tests conducted during the third quarter of 1996 failed to meet the 90% minimum requirement. Two of <br />the failing sites (#89 and #90) were reworked and retested during the fourth quarter of 1996 and compaction was <br />shown to meet requirements. Recompaclion al two additional sites (#81 and #84) has been precluded to date due to <br />weather conditions. No additional fill material has been placed over these areas pending verification of <br />recompaction. These reports are submitted to document fulfillment of the quarterly inspection requirements as <br />specified by Rules 4.09.1(11) and 4.10.2. <br />Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
