EASTSIDE COAL COMPANY, IN C. <br />Subsidence Report <br />June 1993 <br />Extraction Limits <br />No mining has occurred at the Eastside Mine since the last subsidence <br />survey. The Mine Map dated October 5, 1990 shows the current extent of <br />mining. A conservative angle of draw of 25° includes Monument 2 in the <br />area of possible influence from subsidence. <br />Observed Subsidence <br />Monuments 1 and 2 as well as the Alternate Monument Points 1 and 2 <br />were surveyed on June 30, 1993. <br />The results are shown in the enclosed tables. <br />The last 7 surveys of Monument 1 indicate no appreciable movement. The <br />results are between 0.245 feet and 0.287 feet below the original surve~~. <br />This is a maximum variation of 0.032 feet between the last seven surveys. <br />Monument 1: Alternate shows no change in elevation from the last survey. <br />Monument 1 shows a decrease of 0.025 feet. <br />The last 7 surveys of Monument 2 indicate no appreciable movement. The <br />results are between 0.270 feet and 0.363 feet belo~: the original survey. <br />This is a maximum variation of 0,093 feet between the last seven surveys. <br />Monument 2: Alternate shows a decrease in elevation of 0.025 from the <br />last survey. Monument 2 has a decrease of 0.085 feet. <br />All four Monuments, 1, 2, l: Alternate, and 2: Alternate, will be surveyed <br />in the future to see if these trends continues. The survey continues to <br />show minimal seasonal movement due to frost heaving. <br />No structures or renewable resources have been affected b_v subsidence <br />of the Eastside Mine. <br />
