For this report, field data and lab data are included. The wells were sampled for lab
analysis according to the sampling plan of the revised permit. The field data for both
wells are given below:
July 27. 2001
Upstream well:
pH: 8.0
Ec: 81 µm
Temperature: 49 deg F
Water level: 4.0 feet
Downstream well:
pH: 8.1
Ec: SS µm
Temperature: 49 deg F
Water level: 4.2 feet
September 22. 2001
Upstream well:
pH: 8.0
Ec: 83 µm
Temperature: 45 deg F
Water level: 4.1 feet
Downstream well:
pH: 8.1
Ec: 91 µm
Temperature: 45 deg F
Water level: 4.3 feet
The data above is normal and reflects good water quality. The samples were
immediately delivered to ACZ Labs in Steamboat Springs. Lab results are attached.
The ACZ lab results show that the upstream well does increase in TDS from 200 to
300 ppm, but this is normal and is almost identical to that experienced last year. There
are no problems with any other ions in solution and the water quality of the
downstream well is still considered very good by Colorado standards.
