OF MINERALS
GEOLOGY
1313 Sherman Street, Suite 215
Denver, Colorado 80203-2273
Dear Mr. Mount:
Re: Annual Report, Albert Frei and Sons, Inc.
Bromley Pit, MLR File 79-165
Fed Tax ID # 84-0517799
Anniversary Date: October 25, 1996
Our files indicate that the anniversary date for this permit
is October 25, 1998. Please refer to the Annual Report Map for
the locations of areas discussed in this report. This pit HAS NOT
been granted a Temporary Cessation and it HAS operated more than
180 days this year. The Financial Warranty was is $29, 300 and the
permitted area is 14 .20 ± and the pit is not Phased. A sign that
conforms with rule 6.7 Signs and Markers is installed at the entrance
to the pit.
We will deal specifically with each of the Annual Report
requirements as outlined in Rule 1. 15 of the Rules and Regulations,
and in the annual notice letter,
(1) A 1.44 ± parcel west of the railroad is stripped and prepared
for mining. Once that is complete all mining will be done at
the mine (pink) .
(2) We have been filling part of the pit with clean fill consist-
ing of concrete, old asphalt and dirt (/////) . The green area
was filled this year and graded from the upper level to the
office area on the north. The area colored brown has a top
cover of dirt over the fill material so once filling is done
it can be resoiled. Reclamation has been successful and in
June 1998 we revised the county use plan so the area can be
used for industrial uses. We will make the necessary reclama-
tion plan changes once mining ends on the western parcel. The
topsoil stockpile has not been disturbed this year.
