The pit was essentially shut down. As a
result of the present economy and market conditions, as well as the current
state of the construction industry, there has been little demand and the
mined material presently remains stockpiled.
With the above in mind, no additional area, over and above that reflected
in our 1986 and 1987 annual reports has been disturbed. The small amount
of mining involved previously disturbed areas. The mining effort has
continued downward and not outward. Quite frankly, this is liable to be
the case for several years hence.
In conjunction with the lack of mining activity, no additional areas have
been reclaimed either. Essentially, everything has remained the same as it
was in 1986 and 1987.
Therefore, please find enclosed our previously submitted drawing and report
from 1987 which reflects the current situation as well. The drawing notes
the lack of 1988 activity. Further, please find our check for $350.00
enclosed.
Should you have any questions or require any further information, please
advise. _
Yours
Vice President
SMM/bj
