- Surface Water Site SW-S2-10 {SSC10). This site monitors Cow Camp
Creek at its confluence with Fish Creek. It is monitored May through
September on a monthly basis. This year, flow was observed at this site
only in May, although NPDES 004 upstream was flowing continuously. This
reduction in flow is due to stream channel infiltration,
evapotranspiration, and the absence of lateral inflow from tributaries
to Cow Camp Creek. The TDS plot reveals a stable trend.
- NPDES Discharge Point 008 (NPDES8) The annual average flow values
for the water year since this pond began to flow are:
2003 = 0.168 cfs (monthly measurements)
2002 = 0.083 cfs "
2001 = 0.189 cfs "
2000 = 0.299 cfs "
1999 = 0.246 cfs (monthly measurements winter,
weekly rest of year)
1998 = 0.473 cfs "
1997 = 0.606 cfs
1996 = 0.479 cfs "
1995 = 0.337 cfs "
1994 = 0.157 cfs "
1993 = 0.332 cfs "
1992 = 0.132 cfs (weekly measurements all year)
1991 = 0.112 cfs "
1990 = 0.067 cfs "
1989 = 0.108 cfs "
1988 = 0.104 cfs (reservoir did not completely
fill until February 25, 1988)
This year's average flow value, 0.168 cfs, is 698 of the historic (1988-
2003) average flow value, 0.242 cfs. Due to high sediment levels, this
pond was dredged out in 2002. Review of the TDS plot indicates an
increasing trend.
- Surface Water Site SW-S2-12 (SSB12). This site monitors Sond Creek at
its confluence with Fish Creek. It is monitored May through September
14
