L J
L J

F Seam
Xvdrobgic Data Imrrpmadon and Impact Artrrrmrnt for the Pamir artd Adjacent Anal
MCC plans no further mining activities in
the F seam.
B Seam
During 1994, longwall panel and mains
development and longwall retreat mining
will continue. Development of the 4th and
5th Northwest panel will be completed.
I.ongwall mining of the 3rd and 4th panel is
planned. Development of the 5th Northwest
panel and some of the 6th Northwest panel
will also be completed. The B West Mains
development will continue westward to the
location of the 5th Northwest panel.
Water Quality
Mine water inflow for V/Y 1994 is expected
to be less than that experienced during WY
1993. Only the amount of water necessary
for mining will be imported into the mine.
Accordingly, 1994 should pose no probiem
for discharge. The discharges should readily
meet NPDES effluent limitations after set-
tling and should not measurably impact
receiving waters. Quality of water dis-
charged in WY 1994 should be similar to
the WY 1993.
Adequacy
The monitoring program as established and
implemented, appears to provide the infor-
mation required to assess impacts of the
mining activities to the hydrology in the
vicinity of the West Elk Mine.
17
