Sediment Pond B is located in this drainage. Monitoring point S-1 is located in this drainage downstream of the sediment pond. This drainage, which bisects the pemvt area, will receive most of the surface drainage from the permit azea. Flow from Section 33 Creek discharges into Naturita Creek. No flow was recorded at this monitoring point during the year. Bramiers Lhaw is the major drainage feature to the west of the permit area. Because the permit area slopes to the east, Bramiers Draw will only receive a minor amount of drainage from the permit area. Flow from Bramiers Draw would discharge directly into the San Miguel River. Monitoring points B-I and B-2 are located in upper and lower Branders Draw respectively. No flow was recorded at these points during the year. Naturita Creek is the receiving stream for the drainage from the central and eastern portion of the permit azea. This creek typically flows year round. Three monitoring points are located along Naturita Creek. Two points are upstream N-1 and N-IA and one point downstream N-2. Discharge point N-lA replaced point N-1 effective in 1993. Naturita Creek had flow during the second acid fourth quarter monitoring events and quality was consistent with prior years monitoring. Springs Six springs aze located adjacent to the mining area. SP-1, located in Long Draw, has not had a recorded flow since the second quarter of 1991. During 1998, SP-1 was dry. SP-2, located in Section 33 Creek, has not had a recorded flow since the second quarter of 1991. This spring was covered with silt during a significant precipitation event during 1996. Therefore, flow from the spring will probably not surface in the future. During 1998, SP-2 was dry. SP-3, located in Bramiers Draw, has not had any recorded flow in ten years of monitoring data (1989 - 1998). The spring was noted as a seep during the first quarter of 1989 and damp the second quarter of 1992. It was noted as dry during 1998. SP-4, located in Bramiers Draw, has not had any recorded flow in ten years of monitoring data (1989 - 1998). The spring was noted as a seep during the first and fourth quarters of 1989 and dry during all subsequent monitoring events. SP-5 also located in Bramiers Draw, has not had any recorded flow in ten years of monitoring I_ data (1989 - 1998). The spring was noted as a seep during the first quarter of 1989 and dry during all subsequent monitoring events.
