<br /> <br />SUMMARY OF OPERATIONS <br />t JANUARY 1985 THROUGH MARCH 1985 <br />SURFACE WATER GAGING STATIONS AND WATER WELLS <br /> <br /> <br /> The accuracy of the records from the stream monitoring is defined <br />' by the following: <br /> <br /> Excellent - about 95 percent of the daily <br /> discharges are within 5 <br />' percent of their true value <br />' Good - about 95 percent of the daily <br />discharges are within 10 <br /> percent of their true value <br /> Fair - about 95 percent of the daily <br />' discharges are within 15 <br /> percent or their true value <br />' Poor - the daily discharges have less <br /> than "fair" accuracy <br /> SURFACE WATER GAGING STATIONS <br /> Sylvester Gulch <br />' The flume and stilling well were frozen throughout most of the <br /> quarter. The stilling well thawed on about March 13, and small <br /> diurnal flows were recorded. Flows began a gradual increase in <br />' early April. The equipment functioned well throughout the quarter <br /> and all records are considered good. <br />' Lower Dry Fork Minnesota Creek <br /> The recorder was replaced on March l0after having been destroyed <br />' by fire arms in December. The float was unfrozen when the <br />recorder was replaced. Small diurnal flow variations were recorded <br /> through April 9, and the record is considered good. <br />' Upper Dry Fork Minnesota Creek <br /> The stilling well remained frozen throughout the quarter. The <br /> beaver pond douwnstream of the flume is still in place and will <br /> -B1- <br />
