~l~l~
Western Atlas
International
CORE LABORIA70RIE~
Sample Delivery Group Narrative
Customer: Battle Mountain
Project: San Luis 5284
Core Laboratories Project
Gold
Number: 930214
On February 9, 1993, Core Laboratories received 11 samples for water
quality analysis. The following information is pertinerut to the
interpretation of this data package.
The analysis for ammonia and chloride on sample 930203 BMG O1
exceeded holding time by one day. The samples were inadvertently
missed on the holding time backlog report used in the general
inorganic laboratory.
The analysis for total cyanide on samples 930203 BMG O1-p4 exceeded
holding time by two days. These samples were originally analyzed on
February 16, 1993, but the run was rejected due to unacceptable
quality control.
The analysis for total cyanide on sample 930205 BMG O1 e~CCeeded
holding time by eleven days. These samples were originally analyzed
on February 19, 1993, but the run was rejected due to un&cceptable
quality control.
The analysis for weak acid dissociable cyanide on sample$ 930203 BMG
01-04 exceeded holding time by 6 days. These samples weie originally
analyzed on February 17, 1993, but the run was rejected due to
unacceptable quality control.
A method spike was not reported on the quality assurance section of
the report for weak acid dissociable cyanide analyzed on February
23, 1993. A highly concentrated sample was spiked which
oversaturated the scrubber solution resulting in a low spike
recovery. A sample from this batch was spiked at a later date and
met quality assurance requirements.
