ANNUAL REPORT
Operator
Location
File Number
Anniversary Date
United Companies of Mesa County
Norwood Pit
M-1988-037
May 25, 2006
RECE6V`E~
MAY 3 0 2006
Division of Minerals an6 <.:uui-•~'.
The pit was active this report period. One United Companies crusher was in the pit last
summer and another one is currently crushing in Norwood at this time. The pit sketch for
this report period has not changed much because one of the crushing events obtained its
feed material from the existing pit floor.
The crusher produces material suitable for asphalt plant use; and other crushed products
including road base, screened rock, and material suitable for use in redi-mix concrete.
Phase 2 is the current mining location. Additional sloping of along the south wall of the
pit has been done. The San Migue] County Weed Control Department monitors the pit
for weeds and takes care of any weed problem at the same time they treat the adjoining
San Miguel County gravel pit.
Sincerely,
13 .nom c~J , ` 1'°1 >z.n1.~
Brent W.
