Subject: Quarterly Subsidence Monitoring
and Hunting Ditch Inspection
Point #1 No movement horizontally. Assumed elevation was 79.17,
now 79.06 - downward 0.11 ft.
Point #2 No movement horizontally. Assumed elevation was 80.60,
now 80.61 - no movement.
Point #3 No movement horizontally. Assumed elevation was 76.28,
now 76.26 - no movement.
Point #4 Moved approximately 0.06 to N 11 W. Assumed elevation
was 64.29, now 64.23 - downward 0.05 ft.
Point #5 There has been no subsidence activity in this area. We
did not take measurements at this point.
There has not been any movement of the points in NW/4 Section 32
for almost 3 years. There has been no movement of the points in
the SW/4 Section 32 for almost 2 years and the cracks are almost
"healed up". Because of the relationship between the location of
the "mined out" areas underground and the subsidence areas on the
surface, I believe that there will be no further subsidence in
these areas.
At this time there has been no "mining activity" in Section 32 for
about 3 1/2 years, and there has been no observed subsidence
movement for 2 years. Therefore, I suggest that we be allowed to
stop monitoring these subsidence points. We would still perform
visual inspections each spring and fall.
The only subsidence movement observed in 1992 is in the SE/4NE/4
and NE/4SE/4 Section 31. The existing cracks have not extended
east and west; however, they have opened up, in some placed„~s„ygide
as 0.45 feet. All movement seems to be to the north cy~'~4:(vl..S ••,,

There is no evidence of movement around the HuntingtOia,~d•J~oh._"~~he2~=
area around the relocated portion of the ditch Yja~;completel~ G~
healed, and there is no surface evidence of movemerlt~ ~ ~ r;o
the area immediately to the south of the ditch has:gp~i e s m°~'=
0.11 feet, therefore I believe that careful inspect ' 1
