See Map for
location. The monuments are 3-inch pipe with a 4-inch plate so
the elevation will be fixed for each reading. The coordinates of
the monuments are:
Northing Easting Elevation
D-11-U 405,065.78 1,440,549.57 6185.92
D-12-U 405,418.32 1,441,625.51 6195.50
These coordinates and elevations will remain fixed and all other
points will be relative to them.
our subsidence and slope stability surveys up through July of
1990 were performed using a Wild T-2, 1 Second Theodolite with a
top mount K & E Autoranger Electronic Distance Meter. For sur-
veys performed from November of 1990 to the present date, we have
used a Lietz Set 2 Total Station which is a 1 Second Theodolite
with a Coaxial Electronic Distance Meter. Starting with the July
1991 survey UTE is using a new coordinate geometry software
program to adjust the survey data.
