Pursuant to your request, I reviewed the December 23, 1985 monitoring report
submitted by Blue Ribbon Coal Company for the piezometers and underdrains at
its reconstructed mine bench. The piezometers depict a stable water table and
the underdrain and interceptor drainage appears minimal.
It is important that the north subdrain be cleaned and recompleted as soon as
conditions allow.
