These responses, for the purpose of filing, are submitted as an addendum to the original 1998 report. The Division's questions and EFMC's responses follow in question/ response format. 1. Please provide, on and accurate map, of the locations of the 1998 (vegetation) sample transects. This map should also deSne where topsoiled versus non-topsoiled areas are. None of the previous annual reclamation report maps make this de&nition clear. Response: The vegetation transect locations, as provided by the vegetation scientist, are shown on attached Figure 2, Mine Site Vegetation Transect Locations. In addition, the perimeter of the non-topsoiled area is shown on same Figure 2. All other areas within the reclaimed mine site area received topsoil. 2. Please indicate on the map that seeding was conducted in 1995 and in what month seeding occurred. Only those locations seeded/re-seeded in 1996 are designated on the submitted map. Response: The perimeter of the area seeded in 1995 is shown on every subsequent annual reclamation map as a solid line. This perimeter line is also shown on attached Figure 2, Mine Site Vegetation Transect Locations. In addition, the legend on Figure 2 indicates the month and year of planting.
