Mr, Rick Mills - 9 - July 7, 1988
6. Electrical conductivity seems to be increasing over time at Station 8.
Yalues downstream (Station 8) are higher than those recorded at the
upstream station (Station 14) as shown in Figure 34. This increase may
or may not be related only to low flow in Foidel Creek during 1987.
Further evaluation will be conducted to allow a more complete analysis of
this possible trend.
7. Elevated silver values have been observed at Station 8/2005.
8. Please provide a graph of electrical conductivity for Station 900, with
the next AHR.
Middle Creek Stations -
1. Why are total dissolved solids data missing for Station 700?
2. The silver detection limit (Station 700) is not sufficiently low to
determine whether the stream standard is being met. Please correct this
situation.
3. Is the June 1977 mercury value (Station 700) a data entry error?
Fish Creek Stations -
1. Are there any water quality data for Station 1001? If so, the data
should be incorporated into the data base.
2. Station 1002 exhibited a relatively elevated cadmium value for the
April 1987 analysis. Some relatively elevated zinc values have also been
recorded at this station.
Trout Creek -
1. Figure 40 indicates a possible slight increasing trend for electrical
conductivity. Additional analysis will be conducted to determine if such
an increase is occurring.
General Content
The current report format is well organized and quite thorough. The report
would be enhanced by including graphs of both electrical conductivity and
total dissolved solids over time for all sites already depicted by graphs. It
would also be helpful if sucFi other parameters as iron, sulphate, zinc and
cadmium are graphed against time for the surface sites and the spring sites
currently graphed in the AHR.
