Longwell Subsidence
January 20, 1986
Page -2-
It would be difficult to differentiate between surface
settlement and subsidence except that the subsidence basin is
well defined and the settlement is uniform on each side of
the subsidence basin.
In determining the angle of draw for the "K" raw, monuments
K-12 and K-20, were chosen to be the end points of the
subsidence basin. For the "NPR" row, monument P-3 was chosen
as the end point.
The angle of draw for these two rows was determined to be:
Row Angle of Draw
K 15.5 Degrees
K Less than 0 degrees
NPR 14.5 Degrees
Comment
Downdip side of gob
Updip side oi' gob
Behind gob
The monitoring points will again be surveyed in March and
June of 1986. The results of these two surveys will be
submitted with the next semi-annual report.
