NARRATIVE REPORT

MINING:
Excavation will continue within Mine Sequences One and Two through
1992. Excavation was limited to Mine Sequence One through 1991,
with preparation of an area above the active quarry wall for
commencement of excavation of Mine Sequence Two. The extent for
principal extraction activity is approximated in the included map.
Rocks lining U.S. Highway 285 were relocated slightly to allow for
expansion of the RTD Park and Ride. The rocks are located
predominantly off of the permit boundary and within the highway
right of way. The activity was detailed in the 1 1119!91 Technical
Revision in order to maintain clarity between the activities. The
activity was necessitated at the request of RTD.
RECLAMATION:
Site preparation and removal of deposit stockpile material on the
proposed visual berm locations has delayed construction of a planned
• vlsuel berm, as identified in the existing permit application.
Disposition of this berm was detailed in the 11119/91 Technical
Revision. All other planned reclamation is pending commencement
end completion of the Northern portion of the Eest Quarry Wall
resulting from Sequence Three Excavation. Sequence Three
Excavation will most likely not commence in 1992, or until
completion of a majority of the upper elevation of hill top removal
taking place under Sequence Two Excavation.
If you need additional information or assistance, please contact me
o r:
Jefferson County Road & Bridge
1700 Arapahoe Street
Golden, Colorado 80419-0001
Mel Koleber t~ (303) 271-5204 or
Sam Nankervis ~ 271-5202
Thank you for your kind assistance.
• 1131/92 Annual Report to tLe Colorado Mined Land Reolamation Division 3
Jefferson County Colorado, Permit M-77-245, Pine Junction Quarry.
