• Well 008-77-58 (Figure 8) has been unaffected by mining and exhibits seasonal water level fluctuations. During <br />1998, this well experienced an unusually long seasonal decline, and subsequently an established recovering water <br />level vend resumed. In 2006 TDS concenvations (Figure 9) remain at consistent levels seen since the mid 1990s. <br />The po[entiometric surface reflected by well 93M001, has generally been observed to slope from southwest to <br />nottheast. Well 93M001 (Figure 10) has exhibited a steep decline in water level from 1994 through 2002. From <br />2002 to date there has been a more gentle decline. These earlier declines were associated with underground <br />mining of [he Eastern Mining District (EMD). TDS concentrations (Figure 11) in this well remain very stable. <br />No anomalous water quality impacts attributable to mining were evident in data collected from Wadge <br />Overburden wells during 2006. <br />Twentymile Sandstone: During 2006, one well, 006-BRDH-7, required monitoring for water levels and field <br />parameters on asemi-annual basis, and two wells, FBR-2, and 97013TM, required monitoring for water levels, <br />field parameters, on asemi-annual basis, and water quality parameters on an annual basis. Water quality <br />frequency is annual, All monitoring requirements were completed at these sites during 2006. Tables 7 through 9 <br />provide summaries of the 2006 Water Year data collected at each site. Tables 7a through 9a provide historical <br />statistical summaries of collected data at each site through 2003. Figures 12 through 17 provide graphical <br />representations of water levels and selected water quality parameters recorded at each site. <br />• The potentiometric surface in the Twentytttile Sandstone generally slopes from southwest to northeast. The <br />Water levels and conductivity at well 006-BRDH-7 (Figures 12 and 13, respectively), remained consistent with <br />that of previous years, with no mine impacts apparent Water levels in well FBR-2 (Figure 14) were consistent <br />through the late 1990s, however, in 2003 water levels dropped by approximately 56 feet, based upon a <br />measurement in April of 2003. Through 2005, the water level dropped an additional 84 feet. In 2006 water <br />levels appear to have recovered slightly. In May and June of 2003, work on the eastern end of the 16 Right panel <br />was approaching the general vicinity of FBR-2. This anomaly may be related to work on the 16 right panel and <br />the well's close proximity to an adjacent fault zone. TCC will continue to monitor and report on this anomaly. <br />TDS values for FBR-2 (Figure 15) also dropped in 2003. We1197013TM (Figure 16) water level dropped about <br />55 feet in 2006 as compared to previous years. TCC currently has no explanation for this decrease. TDS values <br />in 2006 indicated a high of 1170 mg/1 (Figure 15), as opposed to the consistent values seen going back to 1995. <br />These anomalies will continue to be be monitored in 2007. <br />Trout Creek Sandstone: Dutng 2006, Five Trout Creek Sandstone wells, 001-83-106, 001-83-107, 95M001, <br />FBR-2-E, and 97013TC. Note that per TR03-42, monitoring frequency for water levels and field parameters <br />were reduced to an annual basis, and water quality sampling to a bi-annual (every other year) basis. Also per <br />TR03-42, Trout Creek Sandstone wells 008-75-EFC and 97012TC were deactivated. All monitoring <br />requirements were completed at these sites. 2006 data is presented in Tables 10 through 14. <br />• Well FCM#2 was replaced in the fall of 1995 by monitoring well 95M001, with semi-annual monitoring during <br />2006 occurring a[ well 95M001 in lieu of FCM #2. Summaries of the Wa[er Year data collected at each site can <br />be found in previous AHRs. Tables l0a through ]4a provide the historical statistical summaries of collected data <br />5 <br />
