This well was
drilled as a substitute for Well #W6900N which failed in the 3rd quarter of 1997. This well is
located on the lowest bench of the Fill and penetrates the base alluvium. The hole did not make
any water during drilling, but circulation was lost at about 93 feet when the base of the fill was
reached. Based upon evidence from drill cuttings and lost circulation, the original ground surface
was encountered between 98 and 105 feet below collar elevation.
The following information and attached drawing correctly depicts well construction.
O Location - N 346,292.47,E 1,360,828.60, Elev. 6702.25 (top of surface casing)
O Drilling Method - 6 inch down hole hammer with casing advancer system.
Total Hole Depth - 108 feet
O 2" Stainless steel casing set +2.3' to 93'
2" Stainless steel screen (20 slot) set at 93' to 108'
Borehole packing:
0' to 87' -environmental grade bentonite chips
87' to 90' - '/: inch bentonite pellets
90' to 108' - 10/20 silica sand
Surface Well Protection - 4" lockable well cover, betonite packing around casing
O Drilling Contractor -Maxim Technologies
260 18th Street
Denver, CO 80221-3932
y~i~ ~ //-/3-i 9
Brian Keith Briggs
Colorado Registered Professional Engineer # 31956

File: d:\miscl\dmg\wpins398.wpd
Revision Sutxnitted ~ I - ao -qb'
Revision No. vvl >Z - y 9
