IG~z <br />4 <br />QUARTERLY COAL WASTE BANK INSPECTION REPORT <br />CDMR Rules 4.09.1(11) and 4,10.2(2) <br />Mine: Raton Creek <br />Waste Bank MSHA iD <br />Inspection Period: First Quarter 2002 <br />Inspection Date: 25-Feb-02 <br />General Description or Reference to Site Plan: <br />Raton Creek Mine is in final reclamation. All required structures have been removed, <br />the area brought to final grade, mulched and seeded. Areas of lesser vegetation <br />density were inter-seeded in 2000. <br />Activity During Inspection: <br />Area was inactive thoughout the quarter. <br />Ground cover was dry. Ski was overcast with light snow flurries. <br />R~v~~ V `~ <br />MpV 20 2~ <br />pl~is;°° of Ml°acals °nd~a0lo9Y <br />Drainage: (Discussion of springs. seeps, overland and channel flow, underdrain construction and! <br />or discharge, integrity of 10o-year 24-hour drainage structures, and evidence of positive drainage). <br />No springs or seeps were observed on the refuse side slopes. Positive drainage is established on <br />all areas. Vegetation has been established on reclaimed areas with some minor rilling on more <br />sparsely vegetatetl areas. Drainage and diversion structures were intact with some sediment <br />accumulation noted on the west facing diversion ditch above and to the south of the water tank. <br />Underdrain construction has been completed. <br />Qbservafion of Fill Construction: (Description of material, compaction, lift thicknesses. slopes. <br />and cor;strrtction methods}. <br />Structure i:as been completed to final grade.
