Box 7900
Salt Lake City, Utah 87107
RE: Transfer of Permit Approval
Transfer of Permit 79-177 from Colorado Yampa Leasing Company to
Colorado Yampa Coal Company
Transfer and Separation of Permit C-056-82 from Colorado Yampa Leasing
Company to Twentymile Coal Company
Dear Mr. Young:
Enclosed is a signed copy of the Request for Transfer of Permit and the
Division's findings for the transfer of permit. Rule 2.08.6(4) requires three
specific written findings. A separate set of findings is written for each
permit, Energy No. 1, 2 and Eckman Park and Foidel Creek.
In conjunction with the approval for the transfer of permit the state is
approving a separate permit for the Foidel Creek underground mine. A permit
revision was issued for the mine in May 1984. All permit dates will reflect
the date of approval for the permit revision. The permit will assume the
number it was reviewed under C-056-82. A rider to the Foidel Creek permit
with the new number is attached. Please sign it and return a copy to the
Division.
Twentymile Coal Company has submitted a permit application which includes the
required references from permit 79-177 and provides an adequate reclamation
plan. The Foidel Creek Mine will now be inspected independently of the
Energy No. 1, 2 and Eckman Park Mines.
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
