(BMRI) - San Lu is
DMG Permit No. M-88-112
Bi-Weekly Water Sample Report - November 23-25, 1992
Dear Mr. Oehler:
Enclosed are the analytical reports from Core Laboratories
for the bi-weekly water samples collected on
November 23-25, 1992 as specified in the April 1992
Abatement Plan. The cross-reference table between sample
identification numbers and sample locations is attached.
No deviations from the sampling QA/QC protocols, TR-006,
were noted for any of these samples.
Wells M-9, M-12, and M-13, RS-5, and the five process points
were sampled. Wells M-2, M-6, M-7, and M-8 and the three
lysimeter pairs were checked and found to be dry. A barrel
filter rinse blank and a field blank were taken as field
quality control samples.
In previous bi-weekly reports, cadmium concentrations had
been detected in groundwater and surface water samples.
During this sampling event, no cadmium concentrations were
detected. The earlier detected cadmium concentrations
appear to be from residual cadmium nitrate in the barrel
filter. Cadmium nitrate was used as a pre-treatment to
eliminate sulfide interference in samples being analyzed for
cyanide concentrations.
As specified in TR-006, calculated free and wad cyanide
values for the five process point samples are enclosed.
If you have any questions, please call.
Sincerely,
~Qo.~a ~ ~c~L~
Alana L.
