The Denver office (recently relocated to Boulder) covers <br />generally the Rocky Mountain and Great Plains states and specialized, during my tenure, <br />in water, energy, and land use issues. <br />Among my activities were federal court litigation at all levels, includ- <br />ing appeals in the Eighth, Tenth, and District of Columbia Circuits; interpretation, <br />counseling, and testimony on key federal laws and regulations, including NEPA, FLPMA, <br />SMCRA, FWPCA, and the 1872 Mining Law; advising individuals and other organizations on <br />environmental issues; Congressional lobbying and testimony; staff recruiting and hiring; <br />numerous public speaking engagements; representing EDF on in-house corporate matters <br />involving the Denver office (tax exemptions, office lease, sublease, etc.). <br />Law Clerk <br />Judge Walter P.
