Since joining the attorney general's staff in <br />1975+ I have handled over L00 cases in the Ccloradc appellate <br />courts and the United States Ccurt of Appeals in fields <br />ranging from securities fraud to natural resources. I have <br />also argued one case in the United States Supreme Court. <br />From 1975 through 1978 I was a lawyer in the appellate section <br />handling both civil and criminal appeals. In 1979 I was <br />transferred to a trial litigation position and then promoted <br />to chief of appeals. Since July 1981• I have been respon- <br />sible for coordinating. supervising. and in some cases <br />personally handling the office's civil appeals. I am also <br />responsible for reviewing all attorney general's opinicns <br />before they are signed. Additionally, I am frequently assigned <br />to special projects. For example. I recently helped the <br />Governor's office negotiate an interstate compact agreement <br />on the disposal of low-level radioactive waste. <br />7. Although my official title in appellate litiga- <br />tion coordinator, as one of the senior litigator's in the <br />attorney general's office. I am responsible fer coordinating <br />litigation strategy in the trial courts. and advising other <br />assistants on litigation matters. <br />8.
