The most convenient landfills to the County aze: <br />• Denver-Arapahoe Disposal Site at Gun Club Road and East Hampden Avenue in east Arapahoe C <br />• Colorado Springs Landfill on Hwy 94, 6 miles east of Colorado Springs. <br />For further information on the Denver Arapahoe site landfill please call (303) 690-4303. <br />For the Colorado Springs landfill please call (719) 683-2600. <br />Disposal of trash and construction debris at landfills is usually less expensive than trash transfer sites. <br />Trash Transfer Sites: <br />Douglas County owns 4 trash transfer sites, contracting for the operation of 3 of the 4 sites with Imperia <br />• fourth site <br />is operated by Douglas County employees. <br />The three Imperial Enterprises operated sites aze: <br />Larkspur: The site is open Saturdays only <br />8 a. m. to 4:30 p.m. during Mountain Daylight Time (MDT) <br />9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during Mountain Standard Time (MST) <br />The facility is located at Spruce Mountain Rd. & Frink Rd. <br />(In the town of Larkspur on Spruce Mountain Rd, turn east on Frink Rd, cross the railroad track a <br />entrance. <br />2. Parker: The site is open Saturdays only <br />8 a. m. to 4:30 p.m. during Mountain Daylight Time (MDT) <br />9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during Mountain Standard Time (MST) <br />The site is located at Hess Ave. '/< mile west of Motsenbocker Rd. <br />(Take Highway 83 to Stroh Rd, turn west and proceed one mile to Motsenbocker Road, turn nort <br />mile to Hess Ave., turn west and continue'/< of mile to gate.) <br />3. Sedalia: The site is open Mondays and Saturdays <br />8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during Mountain Daylight Time (MDT) <br />9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during Mountain Standard Time (MST) <br />. The site is located on Douglas County Rd 18, 1 mile north of Sedalia. <br />(Take the Sedalia exit off Hwy 85 to Hwy 67, proceed over the railroad tracks and take the first r <br />which is Douglas County 18.
