Savage and Savage
Memorandum
To: Donald W. MacDonald, Coors Energy Company
From: Edith Savage, Savage and Savage, Inc.
Date: December 7, 2005
Subject: Fourth Quarter 2005 Pest and Disease Inspection; Keenesburg Mine
File #: C-81-028
On December 5, 2005, I conducted an inspection of the reclaimed and revegetated azeas
at the Keenesburg Mine for evidence of plant pests or diseases that could affect the re-
established vegetation at the Keenesburg Mine. The weather was cool, approximately
36°F, with light winds. There was a sparse wind blown snow crust on the site from an
eazlier snow storm.
Reclaimed and revegetated azeas of the mine, including the 1985, 1986, 1987, 1995, 1998
interseedings, 1999, 2000, 2002, and 2003 seedings were inspected by pedestrian and
vehicle means. The dugout area, the small cottonwood grove, and the B Pit areas were
• also inspected.
I did not identify any disease conditions at any of the reclaimed and revegetated areas or
within the mine site. Nor did I identify any plant pests which had affected the growth of
the vegetation during the past growing season. No azeas which experienced any
infestation or blight were found during the inspection.
c: Keenesburg Pest and Disease Inspection File
Danny Kipp, Keenesburg Mine
lJ
Page 52
