Levy Co.
We have audited the accompanying divisional balance sheet of Schmidt Construttion (a division
of Edw. C. Levy Co.) as of December 31, 2000. The divisional balance sheet is the nsporssibiliry
of the Division's management. Our responsibility is to express an opinion on thle divisional
balance sheet based on our audit.
We condutted our audit in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards. Those
standards require that we plan and perform the audit to obtain reasonable assurance about
whether the divisional balance sheet is free of material misstatement. An audit includes
examining, on a test basis, evidence supporting the amounu and disclosures in tF~e divisional
balance sheet. An audit also includes assessing the accounting principles used and signifiant
estimates made by management, as well as evaluazing the overall divisional baance sheet
presentation. We believe that our aud'r, provides a reasonable basis for our opinion.
In our opinion, the divisional balance sheet referred to above presenu fairly, in all mazerial
respects, the divisional financial position of Schmidt Construttion as of December 31, 2000 in
conformity with generally accepted accounting principles.
7~~LLP
March 16. 2001
.~.,
mri
.. v, a„„.. ~,,., , ,„.,.„.. ®,.,, ..,.
~c~op~
