Boz 68 <br />Empire, Coloredo 80438 <br />Metro (3037 271-0107 <br />Cu[ of Scace (303) 569221 <br />Fax: (303)569-2829 <br />March 9, 1996 <br />RE: 1995 Annual Report, Henderson Mine and Mill, Permit No. M-77-392 <br />Dear Mr. Humphries: <br />Attached you will find the 112 Annual Report form for the Climax Mclybdenum <br />Company, Henderson Mine and Mill facility, and our check for the annual fee. <br />Below is a summary of interim reclamation activities during 1995. <br />Area 1, Mine Site <br />The guard shack, near the front gate, was dismantled and the site was graded <br />and will be seeded in 1996. Additionally, stormwater diversion berms were <br />constructed at the top of the slopes below the office building and the <br />warehouse. <br />Area 9, Mill Site Tailing Basin <br />The water pool elevation was 8789.6 MSL at year end 1995 in the tailing <br />deposition basin. Soil stockpiling progressed as planned. Approximately <br />153,000 cubic yards of material were removed £rom the tailing basin between <br />elevations of 8789 MSL and 8796 MSL and stockpiled below the perimeter road <br />for use during final reclamation. To minimize the disturbance un-inundated <br />soil, the soil was recovered in strips similar to the 1991 effort, described <br />in the 1992 annual report. The stockpile will be seeded during 1996. <br />Area 5, Mill yard <br />Two mobile office trailers, located South of the Mill building, were removed <br />from the site and the vacant area was resurfaced with asphalt. <br />General Mill Site <br />The Grand County Weed Control agent was retained to provide ongoing noxious <br />weed control for the mill site.
