both parcels. ?he areas scheduled to be mined dicing 1994 are not sign;fic~ntly
• different fran areas previously mined in terms of topography, geology, or mining
te~3uLique and should not, therefore, erdtibit significantly different subsidence
effects. Panels Z and 1st North Fast will entail mining under deeper than usual
Dover in their northes~rmnst development and subsidence effects are therefore
anticipated to be less evident at the surface in these areas.
Ptrojected 8ubeide~c~e Monitoring 1994
Per the conditions of technical revision 16, OOVOC is requited to inform the
Division of selecked sites propoeed for surveying for the upocmirg year in the
Annual Subsidence Report. For the 1994 calendar year, ~VOC proposes the
following fourteen (14) sites for surveying (see Map No. 2-5 appended to this
report): 6, 14, 15, 16, acrd 95; drill hole locations 55, 65, 66, and 68;
structure locations in the north ; of Section 10 denoted subsidence monitoring
points 94, 96, 97, and 98; and the corner of Sections 9, 10, 15, and 16
designated point 99. 'Il1e terrain arri vegetation cover in the west pod area
con~Liine to make establishment of additional grid sites prohibitive. Alternative
locations with established access will provide sufficient data.
In addition, OOVCC also proposes to survey the seven (7) Pitkin Mesa Pipeline
monitoring locations as r~~; ed.
~J
C~
7
