This information should be submitted in [he annual hydrologic report. If repair or
rehabilitation is necessary the mine should perform this as needed.
Response. Kerr initiated this program on April 6, 1994. The inspection is documented on
report form included in Section 8.0, Well Inspection of [he 1994 Annual Hydrology Report.
Recommendation
Field instruments should be calibrated on a regulaz basis.
Response. Mr. Mossman does alibrate the field instruments prior to condutting sampling. As
with all electronics, this does noc always assure no problems. However, Kerr will continue to
calibrate the field instrument on a regulaz basis.
Recommendation
Electrical conductivity should be adjusted to 25 degrees C and given as specific conductance.
Response. The field instrument, Cole-Parmer Model 1491-63, used by Kerr to measure electrical
conductance is preadjus[ed at the factory to have a reference temperature of 20 degrees C. If
necessary, these values could be further adjusted, by hand, to 25 degrees C.
Steamboat Springs, CO • Denver, CO • Seattle, WA. Juneau, AK • Sentlago, Chile SA
