Dept. at i~luw;ai fieso~,~.. <br />This is the fifth annual monitoring report for the East Itigden Pit operated <br />by Flatiron Materials Oo~any, P.O. Box 229, Boulder, ~ 80306. It covers <br />the period of August 13, 1983 to August 13, 1984. <br />The following questions and answers are submitted to meet requirements for <br />annual reports to the P4ined land Reclamation Boan3. <br />1. What are the locations and numbers of acres affected during the past year? <br />Approximately 12 acres were excavated in the southern portion of the pit, <br />and approximately 19 acres were stripped (see map) . <br />2. [~Iliat are the locations and numbers of acres reclaimed this year? <br />Approximately 21 acres were backfilled and topsoiled (see map). <br />3. What are the locations and numbers of acres in various stages of reclamation? <br />See #2. above. <br />4. ti~fiat are the species of vegetation that have been planted? What are the <br />locations and approximate dates of planting? <br />There has been no planting to date. <br />5. What are the types, quantities and locations of fertilizers used? <br />None. <br />6. What is the ~ng>any's appraisal of reclamation efforts? <br />Mining and reclamation are pragressing smoothly. <br />7. What are the locations and numbers of acres to be affected during the <br />next reporting year? <br />The 19 acres that were stripped this reporting year will be mined next <br />year. An additional 9 acres located in the central portion of the pit <br />will be stripped next year in preparation for mining. <br />
