There is a good chance that in accordance with Rule
4.05.2, Blue Ribbon will be allowed cease maintaining its sedi-
ment ponds and collection ditches during 1989. In order to ob-
tain approval to stop maintaining the sedimentation pond and col-
lection ditches, s vegetation success study must be performed.
It is Blue Ribbon's intent to have this study done during 1989.
Blue Ribbon therefore requests that the deadline to update its
design of the collection ditches along the northern side and base
of the mine bench be extended until September 30, 1989 to allow
time to perform and analyze the results of a vegetation study.
Sincerely,
~~~~~
Jim Stover, P.E.
Chief Engineer
