wss dredged during July and August, 1996. Aeview of the TDS plot indicates an increasing <br />trend due to runoff from mine spoils. The TDS average at the site prior to the <br />construction of the NPDES pond (Site SW-52W-SG6) was 1969 mg/1. <br />Surface Water Site SW-S2w-FG1 (WSHF11. Tbie site is located oa Hubbereoa Culch downstream <br />of the 006 Gulch confluence. It has Deen monitored since July, 1979. Review of its <br />hydrograph reveals the high Doak flop since 1986. The TDS plot indicates a decreasing <br />tread. <br />HADES 005 (NPD855). This sediment pond ie located in the north mining area oa a tributary <br />to Dry Creak referred to as the 005 Gulch. Construction of this Dond was comyleted is <br />July, 1992 and the first discharge occurred oa April 22, 1993. The rater year average <br />flows (from weakly measurements) since this pond began to discharge are: <br />1996 0.015 cfs <br />1995 0.015 cfs <br />1994 no flow (very low saowpack runoff this year) <br />1993 0.114 cfs (pond was dewatered to repair a leaking dewaterinq line) <br />Review of this site's TDS plot indicates on increasing trend. <br />Surface Water Site 9W-52W-SCS (WSDS), This site is located on Dry Creek and is the <br />furthest downstream surface water site for Seneca II-W. Monitoring at this site began in <br />March, 1953. Review of its hydrograph again shows the highest peak flow since 1985. The <br />TDS ylot indicates a decreasing trend. <br />Surface Water site SW-52W-FGS (YSS F3). This site is situated oa Sage Creek upstream of <br />the lmpac is from the Seneca II-W Nine (and also SCC's Yoas[ Minel. Monitoring a[ this <br />site commenced in September, 1990. Review of the hydrograph indicates the highest peak <br />Elow on record occurred this year. The TDS trend for this site is decreasing slightly. <br /> NPD85 009 (HDD8591. This site is situated on a tributary to Sage Creek and was <br /> constructed is Octohez, 1991 . This site flowed for the first ti me ever on April 16, 1996 <br /> and stopped flowing oa July 22, 1996. Average fl ow for this year was 0 .065 cfs. TDS <br /> values for this site ranged from 370 to 490 mg/1. Aaseliae TDS values for this drainage <br /> (from discontinued Site SW-5 2W-SG3) ranged from 193 to 548 mg/1 (average = 362 mq/1). <br />9 <br />
